Further, it is vitally important that dialing interaction between the ITST (via the overall team Coordinator) and the host government occurs. This is especially important with large ITSTs. 1 Between ITST team members Daily briefings for the whole team are valuable especially when the ITST is large and different team members are undertaking separate, unrelated tasks. Such daily briefings (which can be informal over breakfast) or formal (before departure to the field) should be undertaken to update all team members of logistics, important issues arising, to foster collaborative support and shared understanding. They also give the chance to allow all team members to share their developing knowledge or any concerns they have on how the survey work is going. All team members should be given the chance to speak if they wish. 2 Between the ITST and the host government It is really very important that the host government be kept fully informed of how the survey work is progressing. Different host governments will require different levels, forms and types of daily briefings. The overall ITST Coordinator is advised to seek guidance from the host government about the nature and frequency of daily briefings and appropriate styles of briefing. It is the overall ITST Coordinators responsibility to ensure that daily briefings will the host government are provided. Where there is likely to be a delay (which can happen), advise the host government at the earliest opportunity. 3 With the media It may be appropriate for the ITST to brief the host country and international media on a daily or semi-regular basis. It is recommended that the overall ITST Coordinator discuss with the host government the nature, frequency and type of daily briefing that can/should be provided. This is important so that the host government is a partner in the type of information being provided to the public. %?@AG n p r s t ʰʀhzhIhzOJQJ\^JaJhzOJQJ\^JaJhz5OJQJ\^JaJ"hIhz5OJQJ\^JaJhzOJQJhIhzOJQJhz5OJQJhIhz5OJQJh7Ye5OJQJhIh7Ye5OJQJ!@A o p $7$8$H$a$gdz$a$gdz.:pz|.
