Summary

The meeting is being orgainized by the Islamic Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO)/UNESCO Section on Earth Sciences and Geo-Hazards Risk Reduction from 12-13 November 2018. The meeting is planned back-to-back with the ISESCO/ IOC/UNESCO Workshop Workshop on the Tsunami Early Warning and Mitigation System in the Northeastern Atlantic, the Mediterranean and connected seas (NEAMTWS): Preparing for the Next Tsunami: Reducing Losses and Damages in the Coastal North-South Mediterranean Areas NEAMTWS (15-16 November, 2018) The Experts meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange views,experiences and lessons learned. It will also bring together disaster risk reduction experts from ISECO Member States to set caoacity building priorities with a sectoral perspective. The outcome of the meeting will serve as a working tool for the next three years in planning and implementation of capacity building activities. IMPORTANT NOTICE Meeting Venue is at the ISESCO HQ
