First IOC/WESTPAC Workshop on the Coral Reef under Climate and Anthropogenic Perturbations (CorReCAP)
Summary

The first CorReCAP workshop will take place in May 2009 on the campus of the East China Normal University at Zhongshan Road North, Shanghai 20062. The workshop will focus on the following topics: • Food-web structure and trophic dynamics of coral reef ecosystems; • Biogeochemical cycles of coral reef systems within the frame of land – sea interaction; • Techniques in coral reef studies, including remote sensing, modeling and monitoring etc. It is understood that workshop will be organized in the way that effects of anthropogenic perturbation and climate change are the major underlying theme of the workshop. The presentations and discussions will be focused on this topic.
