Summary

  • The ICG/CARIBE EWS CARIBE WAVE Task Team meeting will review the implementation and feedback received on the CARIBE WAVE Exercises 2011 – 2026 as well as supporting tools and approaches such as the TsunamiZone.org registration platform, the development of CARIBE WAVE Exercise scenarios, the conduct of multi-lingual webinars, the CARIBE WAVE webpage and Exercise Handbook including translation. The use of technology, as well as enhanced education, outreach and possible collaboration with other IOC-led regional exercises will also be discussed. 
  • The meeting (English only) will be convened in a hybrid format in English in Saint Lucia from 02(pm) - 03 July 2026.
  • The meeting is organized by the USA-based NOAA International Tsunami Information Center and its Caribbean Office (ITIC-CAR) and the UNESCO-IOC in conjunction with its Caribbean Tsunami Information Centre (CTIC), and the Officers of the ICG/CARIBE EWA CARIBE WAVE Task Team.
