International Coastal Atlas Network (ICAN): Meeting of European and African participants
Summary

The goal of the meeting is to bring together participants in ICAN who are working on atlas developments in the European and African areas to review progress since the ICAN workshop held in November 2009 in Trieste, Italy, and to plan activities in the lead-up to the next workshop in September 2011 (to be held in Oostende, Belgium). It also provides an opportunity to present developments on the FP7 NETMAR and PEGASO projects which have ICAN involvement. Attendance at the event is free and participants from outside the current ICAN community are also welcome, especially those involved in, or contemplating creation of, coastal or marine atlases. The meeting will take place before the Littoral 2010 conference to be held at the Royal Geographical Society, London during which a number of papers will be presented by the ICAN community
