Marine biology and fisheries in the SW Atlantic, particularly the distribution and ecology of demersal fish and cephalopods. Since 1989 researcher responsible for the IEO project ?SW Atlantic Fisheries?. Also been working from 1981 to 1987 in the fisheries in the NE Atlantic.
Member of the ICES Working Group on Cephalopod Fisheries and Life History, member of the Cephalopods International Advisory Council (CIAC) and expert with the STECF.
