I am a marine biologist with special interests in the global ecology and naming of non-geniculate coralline red algae. Additionally I am interested in the role that biological (e.g., competition, herbivory, etc.) factors play in the intertidal distribution of macroalgae on rocky shores. My research thus focuses on documenting and understanding patterns of intertidal seaweed diversity, and the documentation of that diversity for the public and for education.
