Natali is a socio-ecologist committed to advancing sustainable and inclusive management of coastal and marine environments. With a Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona, she specializes in integrating social and ecological data to explore the complex relationships that shape marine social-ecological systems. Currently, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow, she works on the REVALSEA project, gathering empirical evidence to quantify and predict why marine nature matters for people. Her work emphasizes the relational aspect of human-nature connections, as outlined by the IPBES framework, with the aim of informing policies that support ecological integrity, social equity, and human well-being.
