Activities
I am involved in conducting social and ecological assessments on coastal and marine resources, small scale fisheries data management and environmental education. I also train students who are on attachment in fish species identification and Marine environmental Conservation. I have also participated and presented on several regional workshops related to climate change and marine resource management.
Skills
I have an interest in Marine Ecology, Fisheries Management & Policy, and Environmental Governance and social economics. I have Knowledge and practical experience in data analysis and in undertaking Environmental awareness, policy advocacy, capacity building, ecosystem restoration. I have gained over the past 6 years. I have developed good interpersonal skills and writing skills, for I have played critical roles at CANCO, such as; editing projects reports, preparing posters and project fact sheets on several occasions. In addition to that, Elijah is currently the National Coordinator of the Tuna Fisheries Alliance of Kenya (TuFAK), and coordinating several projects on Sustainable Blue Economy, Mangrove Restoration, and Policy Advocacy.
