Activities
I am a marine biologist and conservation leader with extensive experience in marine mammal ecology, ocean conservation, and the design of marine protected areas in Chilean Patagonia and beyond. My work has ranged from pioneering research—such as the discovery of blue whale feeding grounds in northern Patagonia—to leading multi-year expeditions, baseline biodiversity assessments, and stakeholder engagement processes. I have combined fieldwork (cetacean surveys, biopsy sampling, telemetry, ROV exploration) with high-level conservation strategy, contributing to policy impact through several Marine Protected Area proposals .

Skills
My skills lie at the intersection of science, conservation management, and storytelling. I excel at translating complex ecological findings into clear strategies for decision-makers, donors, and the public, using tools such as telemetry, biodiversity credits, carbon-sink assessments, and audiovisual campaigns. With strong project management abilities, I design and deliver multi-disciplinary initiatives—from research protocols to community outreach—always aligning science with tangible conservation outcomes. In short, I bring together rigorous marine science, innovative financing ideas, and compelling narratives to drive lasting ocean protection.
