Activities
Ecologist working on data analysis of freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems. Implement field surveys, data curation and statistical analysis of freshwater macroinvertebrates. Also, I use land-use cover information to relate spatial metrics with freshwater biodiversity and water quality indicators. The final objective of the Rigde to Sea project is link the information of both terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecosystems in the Cañete river basin.
Skills
I developed skills in biological and spatial data analysis. Use extensively R programming, and learning Python. I have experience in field work, data curation and project management.
Comment(s)
I am an ecologist at the Andes and Marine Biodiversity Monitoring and Assessment Program (BMAP) of the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute in Lima Peru. I work on terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems in peruvian Andes. I am developing research to look for ecosystemic links between land and freshwater habitats. Recently, I am part of the project "Ridges to Sea" (Sierra al Mar, in spanish), in the Cañete river basin, where are working with freshwater and marine biological information. The objective is to stablish how land use changes will affect freshwater and marine ecosystems.
