I am currently a PhD student in the UNESCO Programme in “Environment, Resources and Sustainable Development” at the University of Naples Parthenope. My research focuses on the ecology, conservation, and sustainable management of marine ecosystems, with particular attention to Mediterranean marine habitats and their ecosystem services. My PhD project is centred on the assessment of natural capital and ecosystem services generated by marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean Sea.
During my PhD, I carried out a research collaboration with ENEA Research Center aimed at integrating environmental risk assessment approaches into marine ecosystem evaluation. I also conducted a research period at the CCMAR – Centre of Marine Sciences, where I expanded my research activities in the field of marine ecosystem ecophysiology.
