My research focuses on marine protected areas (MPAs), ocean governance, and marine spatial planning. I investigate how governance and management influence the effectiveness of MPAs in conserving marine biodiversity and reducing fishing pressure. My work combines spatial analyses, large geospatial datasets, governance assessments, and scientific synthesis to support evidence-based marine conservation and policy.
