Fisheries Engineer serving as a Technical Analyst at the Department of Development and Innovation of the National Secretariat of Aquaculture, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture of Brazil (MPA).
My work focuses on the formulation, implementation and evaluation of public policies to promote sustainable aquaculture, with emphasis on research, technological innovation, capacity building and institutional cooperation.
I colaborate and monitor projects with universities, research institutions and other government agencies through decentralized cooperation instruments. My current activities include supporting the National Plan for Sustainable Aquaculture Development (PNDSA), marine aquaculture initiatives, blue economy and climate change adaptation strategies, aiming to strengthen sustainable aquatic food systems, marine fish farming, food security and the conservation of aquatic resources in Brazil.

Professional Fisheries Engineer with an M.Sc. in Aquaculture and a Ph.D. in Biological Oceanography, complemented by postdoctoral research in Fisheries Engineering and Aquaculture.
Experience in marine aquaculture research, technology transfer and public policy development, with expertise in marine fish hatchery production, live feed culture, weaning protocols, and sustainable aquaculture systems, including recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) and integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA).
Former Visiting Professor at the Federal Rural University of the Amazon (UFRA), with experience in teaching, research and extension activities. Currently serving as a Technical Analyst at Brazil's Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, working on innovation, research partnerships, sustainable aquaculture development, and the formulation and implementation of public policies.
Passionate about advancing sustainable aquaculture as a driver of food security, blue economy, environmental conservation and social development.
