Activities
The Department of Biology has been a component part of the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek since 1 April 2005. The primary function of the Department is research and teaching in biology at the University of Osijek. Besides education activities related to the study programmes organised by the Department, staff members teach biology in other study programmes at the University of Osijek as well as at other universities. Research activities of the Department are carried out through research projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, as well as by other donors (local self-government, business sector).
