Activities
In 2004, Cameroon's Ministry of Forests and Environment (MINEF) was divided into the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife (MINFOF) and the Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection (MINEP).
This division created institutional overlaps and misunderstandings regarding the role of the two ministries in REDD+, some of which continue until today. The role of MINEP expanded in 2012 to recognize their role of sustainable development, and is now known as the MINEPDED.
