Activities

EMSEA exists to act as a hub for the European marine science education community working on promoting ocean literacy across society

To support our community, we work across a wide spectrum including: 

• Campaigning - we act as one voice for scientists, teachers, policy makers and the public on marine education matters

• Sharing  - we share good practice and training opportunities through our annual international conferences

• Projects - we work on grant-funded projects, ensuring our members can benefit from this work by being partners in grant applications 

• Supporting - we support our community through organising events within our EMSEA regional groups and providing ways for the network to connect through our EMSEA Reef digital platform 

EMSEA is a network of marine science educators acting as one voice across Europe and beyond.  Our mission is to act as a hub for the European marine education community to promote and deliver Ocean Literacy across society by working with scientists, teachers, policy makers and the public.
