Activities

Our work focuses on:

• Capacity Building & Training: Providing skills development, teacher training, and livelihood support tailored to Indigenous and coastal communities.
• Indigenous Knowledge & Advocacy: Promoting and safeguarding Indigenous knowledge systems and practices, particularly those tied to maritime and coastal heritage.
• Partnerships for Climate & Conservation: Collaborating with government, academe, and NGOs to integrate gender-responsive and community-based approaches into climate resilience, marine conservation, and natural resource management.

Through LAWIG, we aim to bridge education, culture, and sustainability, ensuring that Indigenous communities—especially women and youth—are active participants in shaping their futures.
