Activities
Founded in 2015, originally as a sports club association in Heybeliada-İstanbul, DYKD mainly operates in the Sea of Marmara, focusing on the transplantation and protection of corals endemic to the Mediterranean, ghost net removal and repurposing, biodiversity monitoring, species and habitat conservation and restoration, as well as underwater cultural heritage, and initiatives in sustainable arts and design. Having strengthened its academic base in recent years, DYKD now takes part in multi-partnered national and international projects, proudly representing Turkiye in global symposiums and conferences.
