The S. Pedro da Cova Vertical School Group was established in 2003, by regulatory imperative (Decree-Law No. 115-A/98 of May 5), and began operating in the 2003/2004 school year. In 2009/2010, following a directive from the Northern Regional Directorate of Education (DREN), the name was changed to S. Pedro da Cova School Group.
