Activities

Leuphana University of Lüneburg emerged from the special legal mandate of the Lower Saxony state parliament to rethink university and create a model university for the Bologna Process. It is supported by a foundation under public law and regards itself as a space for the free pursuit of knowledge, intellectual creativity, personal development, and social engagement. For its studies, it has developed a multi-award-winning study model with three Schools for Teaching and Learning, which is still unique in Germany today. Five Schools for Research are home to Leuphana's research priorities in the fields of education, culture and society, management and technology, sustainability, and public affairs.
