AGIR (Association de Gestion Intégrée des Ressources) is a non-governmental organization based in Al Hoceima, Morocco, dedicated to integrated coastal zone management and marine ecosystem conservation.
The organization leads the Al Hoceima Marine Observatory, the first operational marine observatory in North Africa, promoting real-time environmental monitoring and data-driven decision-making.
AGIR’s activities focus on the development of Smart Marine Protected Areas (Smart MPAs), the integration of Citizen Science, and the implementation of Digital Twin Ocean approaches in support of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS).
The association is actively involved in international projects such as ILIAD and ODYSSEA, contributing to the interoperability of ocean observation systems and the advancement of blue economy initiatives.
