Activities
The teaching of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bologna, among the first in Europe, began in 1784.
In carrying out its core tasks of teaching, research, and third mission, DIMEVET operates daily according to the One Health principle on the complex and delicate issues of animal health and care, veterinary public health, food safety, the quality and sustainability of animal production, animal biology and welfare, translational medicine, animal biotechnology, the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment, society's evolving perception of animals, and veterinary bioethics.
