Activities
One Forest Youth Initiative (OFYI) is an international NGO headquartered in Gabon, founded in 2023 during the One Forest Summit co-hosted by Gabon and France. Our vision is to build a generation of young climate defenders—skilled, committed, and ready to take action to protect forests and oceans, preserve biodiversity, combat climate change, strengthen the resilience of local communities.
Our mission is to promote environmental and social justice by mobilizing youth through concrete actions: reforestation, mangrove restoration, agroforestry, ocean conservation, disaster risk reduction, and green entrepreneurship. We train young people, support them in developing eco-friendly projects, and connect them within a growing network of changemakers.
With a strong presence across Africa and focal points in Europe, OFYI works on the ground and advocates on the international stage, participating in major environmental summits to ensure that youth voices are heard and to build a sustainable future together.
