Roma Tre University is a young university for young people. Founded in 1992, it has grown rapidly in both student numbers and the number of programs offered.
It is highly ranked in international rankings, especially among younger universities.
A dynamic, modern and international university that has immediately characterised itself as a vital lever for the urban development of the capital, within which it has now become well established and whose face it has changed with a persevering process of restructuring and reusing abandoned industrial buildings, transforming them into factories of knowledge and research .
Among its founding values, Roma Tre includes the promotion and organization of research at an international level, higher education and the development and dissemination of knowledge , environmental protection , international solidarity , the principles of gender equality , and the evaluation and incentivization of merit .
Teaching and research, across all subject areas, constantly interact and address a global context, thus fostering the updating and enrichment of knowledge. They combine their efforts with the third mission, understood as both technology transfer and the local extension of educational activities.
The international dimension is considered a strategic aspect for the University, which adheres, among other things, to the inspiring principles of the Magna Charta Universitatum and declares its membership in the European Research and Higher Education Area, embracing its principles and tools.
