Cap Business Indian Ocean brings together chambers of commerce and industry as well as professional organizations from the six island territories of the southwest Indian Ocean. The association, registered in Mauritius as the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Indian Ocean (UCCIOI), was created in 2005. It is currently the only structure uniting the main decision-makers in the regional private sector, making it a key player in economic cooperation in the area. Its general secretariat is located in Ebène, Mauritius.
