For over two decades, the Republic of Djibouti has pursued an ambitious policy of modernizing and diversifying its institutions. Beyond port, logistics, and energy infrastructure, the country has also invested heavily in knowledge and scientific research. In this context, the creation of the Regional Observatory for Environmental and Climate Research (ORREC) is one of the most significant initiatives of the national scientific development strategy.
