With sixteen departments and campuses located between Naples and Caserta, the Luigi Vanvitelli University of Campania , formerly the Second University, promotes professionalizing and regionally integrated training programs, supports quality research, and fosters the creation of new entrepreneurial initiatives by research groups, with a constant focus on internationalization and cultural exchange with other universities.
The University was established in 1991 and began its activities on 1 November 1992. Today there are approximately 24 thousand students enrolled, with 16 Departments.
