Activities
The Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was established in 1975 as the Institute of Environmental Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, approved by the State Council. In 1986, it merged with the Research Center for Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (in preparation) and adopted its current name. In 1999, the Center was among the first batch of institutes selected for pilot projects of the Knowledge Innovation Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2011, it was among the first batch of institutes selected for preferential support under the "Innovation 2020" and "135" development plans of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2015, it was approved to build the "Center of Excellence for the Integration of Science and Education in Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences".
