The mission of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) is highly demanding, with its activity subject to constant evolution and public scrutiny. To remain relevant, statistical information must keep pace with the constant changes to which society is subject, identifying new needs and making choices whose impact on information providers and users is important to measure at all times.
Statistical operations are performed in accordance with technical and scientific methodologies and internationally established standards, guaranteeing their quality. Their results, the statistics, must be made available simultaneously to the entire society.
The INE (National Institute of Statistics) delegates the production of some official statistics to other national entities, while ensuring methodological coordination, quality of this production, and its dissemination.
Vision is the guide for the development of an organization , establishing what the organization intends to achieve.
