| Notes | The lecture, entitled "Roger Revelle: Friend and Mentor", will be the occasion for the professor Munk to go back over his arrival at the prestigious Scripps Institution of Oceanography in 1939, and his first encounter with Roger Revelle. He will talk about their oceanographic measures and how the Doctor Revelle was already thinking in his days about climate change and world population issues. He will also present some of the projects Roger Revelle has worked on and what he has achieved throughout his career, his challenges, many successes and some failures. |
