+ Landscape Ecology: most of my research focus on searching the reationhip between human, environmental - ecological process and spatial pattern of landcape;
+ Spatial and Environmental Planning: using landscape, environmental and geographical theories for doing spatial and environmental planning in diversed areas of Quang Ninh province;
+ Remote Sensing and GIS;
+ Spatial analysis;
+ Quantitative geography;
+ Coastal research and Integrated coastal zone management: since 2005, I've participated many provincial and national projects related to integrated coastal zone management and planning Quang Ninh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Nha Trang... Nowadays, I am in charge of secretary of provincial and national projects on coastal setback zone establishment and management. These projects will contribute to the modification of coastal law and regulations in Vietnam so far.
