I investigate the carbon stock potential of the marsh ecosystems of the Estuary of Laguna de los Patos (Rio Grande do Sul), investigating, in particular, the relative contribution of the different sources (marsh plants, algae, marine grasses) to carbon buried in the ground and in the sediments of adjacent areas, as well as the evaluation of the carbon stock between mature marshes and planted marshes during the last decade.
