research interest is on the Iraqi marshes and Shatt Al-Arab; especially
the impact of their discharges to the coastal area of the Northern Arabian Gulf
and the vulnerability of the already stressed environment to climate change,
water shortage impacts on this environment and their effects on the indigenous
