I work in the marine/limnology field and have been investigating environmental matrices (sediments, algae, crabs) responses to pollution in laboratory and field conditions. I am interested in the biomarkers phytochelatins, homologues and glutathione and (in)organic pollutants. I also work with environmental analytical chemistry and have been focusing on nutrients, persistent organic pollutants and sewage derived compounds, particularly in Amazon coastal areas. I am also very interested in active learning/teaching methods for undergraduate courses.
