Activities

The Oceana Innovation Hub is a Barbados-based centre for ocean and climate education, innovation and youth development under the Ministry of Education Transformation of the Government of Barbados. Located on the shores of Carlisle Bay, the Hub connects marine science, technology and sustainability through project-based learning to equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to address pressing ocean and climate challenges.

Through its national BlueX Education curriculum, youth programmes, research partnerships and community outreach, Oceana works with schools, universities, conservation organisations, government agencies and industry experts to advance ocean literacy, coastal resilience, marine biodiversity and the blue economy. The Hub also serves as a collaborative platform for testing new ideas, developing practical solutions and inspiring the next generation of ocean leaders.
