Activities
University of Ibadan has some departments that have research directly related to oceans and freshwater bodies. They include Aquatic and Wildlife Unit of the department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources.
Part of our activities includes effects of climate change on water bodies and aquatic animals, Isolation of both infectious and zoonotic diseases in aquatic animals, Water bodies pollution, contamination and toxicology as well as conservation and sustainable use of water bodies and aquatic animals among others.
