Activities
The scientific research drill ship, the JOIDES Resolution, is operated by Texas A&M University on behalf of the US National Science Foundation for the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP). IODP is an international research collaboration among 23 nations to explore Earth's history and dynamics using ocean-going research platforms to recover data recorded in sub-seafloor sediments and rocks as well as to monitor sub-seafloor environments.
