Global Fishing Watch advances the sustainability of our ocean through

increased transparency. We use cutting-edge technology to visualise, track,

and share information about global fishing activity, in near real-time and for free.

We do this by:

To advance ocean sustainability through increasing transparency

for responsible ocean stewardship by;

• offering, for free, downloadable data and near real-time tracking

of global commercial fishing activity through our ground-breaking,

open source mapping platform.

• furthering scientific understanding to combat illegal, unregulated and

unreported (IUU) fishing, strengthening seafood traceability, and advocating

for sustainable management in collaboration with partners.

• boosting the global dialogue on ocean-use transparency, growing

understanding of global fishing activity, and galvanising support for

transformational change in fisheries policy and management.
