Activities
North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (NEIFCA) is one of ten authorities surrounding the coastline of England. Each Authority is responsible for managing the exploitation of sea fisheries resources within its area of jurisdiction. The above duties and responsibilities are delivered through the monitoring of activities and associated impacts on the marine environment and the development and enforcement of appropriate management measures, including local, national and European regulations. Currently, the environmental team at NEIFCA are conducting a Fishing Industry Science Partnership (FISP) project looking at European Lobster settlement.
