Activities
The İstanbul Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management is the local branch of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) within Istanbul. It is responsible for coordinating disaster and emergency response efforts in the province. AFAD, as a whole, is a governmental agency under the Turkish Ministry of Interior, tasked with managing all types of disasters and emergencies.
