Information- Science and Technology Workshop

Summary

This year virtual S&T workshop will focus on “Meeting the challenges to sustaining data buoy networks for 10-20 years or longer, and the value of the resulting data". 

Presentations will be welcome in the following areas:

    • How your moored/drifting buoy networks have been sustained over the long term: challenges, strategies, etc.
    • Advances in coastal and open ocean technology – buoy hulls, instrumentation, moorings, new platforms, etc.
    • Advances in buoy data management and communications
    • Research applications of data from DBCP platforms, with an emphasis on climate-scale fluctuations
    • Examples of the impact and value of the data on the user community (e.g. NWP skill, forecasting, emergency services etc)  

Submit your abstract ( no more than 200 words) before 01 October 2021 following the instructions given in the document.
