OBJECTIVES/OBJETIVOS Within the framework of the GEF-UNDP and UNESCO IOC Project for Sustainable Management of the Shared Living Marine Resources of the Caribbean Large Marine Ecosystem and Adjacent Regions (CLME) we are pleased to inform you that the UNESCO IOC Sub-commission IOCARIBE is organizing a CLME-IMS & REMP Workshop - Indicators for Decision Making. The main objective of the Workshop is to identify the benefits of integrating different types of data and information (disciplines, geographical regions) in order to support the management of the shared living marine ecosystems at the regional level with dedicated indicators. The Workshop will identify these indicators and moreover will identify sources of data and information needed to generate these indicators, thus defining the role of the IMS & REMP in this context Dentro de marco del Proyecto GEF PNUD/UNOPS/COI de la UNESCO sobre Gestión Sostenible de los Recursos Marinos Vivos compartidos del Gran Ecosistema Marino del Caribe (CLME) y Regiones Adyacentes, tenemos el agrado de informarle que la COI de la UNESCO está organizando un Taller de Trabajo CLME-IMS/REMP sobre Indicadores para la Toma de Decisiones . El objetivo general del Taller es identificar los beneficios de la integración de distintos tipos de datos e información (disciplinas, regiones geográficas) para apoyar el manejo de los ecosistemas marinos vivos compartidos a nivel regional con base en indicadores dedicados.
