This meeting would also provide an opportunity to learn about regional (i.e. from CDEMA and or CEPREDENAC) led tsunami public awareness strategies and to provide avenues towards formally integrate tsunami teacher education materials into school safety programmes and secondary school curricula throughout the Caribbean. Objectives • Development of a Draft Caribbean PAE Strategy for tsunamis • Obtain expert advise on existing public awareness materials chosen by CTIC for wider dissemination • Learn about existing regional tsunami PAE strategies (i.e. CDEMA, CEPREDENAC) • Discuss on options to integrate tsunami teacher educational materials into school’ curricula.
