The 33rd Annual IAMSLIC Conference will be a joint meeting with the SAIL (Southeastern Association of IAMSLIC Libraries) regional group and will be hosted by Mote Marine Laboratory. The conference will be at the Hyatt Sarasota and begins with a welcome reception Sunday evening, October 7th. Conference sessions may include panel discussions of current topics, research presentations, hands-on workshops and a conference field trip. There are ample opportunities for networking and getting to know fellow marine and aquatic librarians. All IAMSLIC members are strongly encouraged to participate in the two general business meetings, as these are an important forum for both communication and decision-making. Our local hosts have some wonderful suggestions for cultural and recreational activities should you have some extra time to spend in Florida before or after the conference.
