The Training Event “Using the Copernicus Marine Data Stream for Ocean Applications” is organised by EUMETSAT on behalf of the European Commission as part of the Copernicus Programme. The workshop will mainly focus on data from the Ocean and Land Colour Imager (OLCI) and the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR) both flown on the Sentinel 3 Satellite. Full details are given in the documents attached. The workshop is dedicated, but not restricted, to (early carrier) scientists in Europe: Master / PhD students, Post-Docs, and experienced scientists with an interest in working with satellite based ocean observation data. Participants should have some working experience in SNAP and/or a scripting language such as R (or similar). The event is hosted by the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange (IODE).
The deadline for application is 7 June 2017, which must be made using the online form at http://training.eumetsat.int/course/view.php?id=158 [enrolment instructions are in the attached information sheet].
