The JMCMSP is the continuation of the Erasmus Mundus Master Course on Maritime Spatial Planning (EMMCMSP), which has been active since 2013. 
The JMCMSP is a two-year, 120 ECTS postgraduate master programme jointly issued by three high-rated European universities:
·  Università Iuav di Venezia (as coordinator)
·  University of the Azores
·  University of Seville
Maritime Spatial Planning is an innovative instrument that involves policies formulation and planning strategies for maritime space, in order to improve the management of resources from an environmental, economic, social and legal perspective within the framework of maritime policies.
The call for students' applications is currently open, the deadline being on May 15, 2018.

For the EMMCMSP Consortium, the Università Iuav di Venezia has sumbitted its application to the EACEA European Agency for the 2018/2020 edition which, if successful, will be issued once again under the Erasmus Mundus programme. In this case, the availability of scholarships will be notified in June 2018.

IOC-UNESCO official sponsor of this Joint Master Course since the first edition in 2013, the Secretariat in Paris and the Regional Sub-commissions are active partners and have offered the students to do their six month internships in previous years.
