Exercise Indian Ocean Wave 2018 (IOWave18) was organised by the ICG/IOTWMS on 4 - 5 September 2018. Recognising that the lessons learnt from IOWave18 could contribute to a better understanding of the gaps as well as enhance preparedness in the Indian Ocean Region, the ICG decided to conduct a post-IOWave18 workshop within three months of the exercise. In line with this recommendation and aligning with the upcoming World Tsunami Awareness Day (WTAD), the Indian Ocean Tsunami Information Centre (IOTIC) and the ICG/IOTWMS Secretariat are organising a Post-IOwave18 Regional Workshop during 15 - 17 November 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) is hosting this event as part of its partnership agreement with IOC-UNESCO in support of IOTIC for the period 2017-2022.
