The Thirteenth Session of the ICG/IOTWMS (Bali, 28 November – 1 December 2022) decided to continue Working Group 1 on Tsunami Risk, Community Awareness and Preparedness under the chair of Dr. Harkunti Rahayu (Indonesia). This is the first meeting of the Working Group during the current intersessional period. The meeting will provide an opportunity for members to meet, report and update on activities, formulate the work plan, and discuss current topics of interest (e.g. UN Ocean Decade Tsunami Programme, IOC-UNESCO Tsunami Ready Programme, and mainstreaming tsunami into Disaster Risk Reduction and multi-hazard frameworks).
