- 1 - Opening and Working Arrangements
Provisional Program - 2 - Organizational and Administrative Aspects of the CIFDP
Issues to be discussed: (1) Introduction and discussion of the project concept and outline; (2) Goals and Expected Outcomes of the Project with timelines; (3) Project Stakeholders and beneficiaries, including emergency and disaster management requirements; (4) Governance issues; (5) Funding sources; and (6) Establishment of working guidelines for the planning and implementation of the CIFDP.
Draft Project Outline - 3 - Technical and Scientific Aspects of CIFDP
Issues to be discussed: (1) Overview of existing storm surge, wave and hydrological models and forecasting systems. Prioritization of models to be included in the software package; (2) Modes of integration of atmospheric-ocean and hydrological models; (3) Data and information requirements for the implementation of the project, including data sharing in the common catchments; (4) Minimum infrastructure and professional requirements for candidate centres operating the storm surge, wave and hydrological models in the framework of the project; (5) Components of the capacity building module; (6) Components of the communication platform module; and (7) Integration with the Storm-Surge Watch System.
Development and Application of coupled High-Resolution Wind-Wave-Surge Models for Forecasting Coastal Inundation - 4 - Regional Aspects
Issues to be discussed: (1) Prioritization of regions/countries for the implementation of the project and outline of the regional/national sub-project implementation plan; (2) Fixing model domain in line with regional/country requirements; and (3) Integration with the Storm-Surge Watch System.
West Africa Inundation Scoping - 5 - Full project proposal
Issues to be discussed: (1) Contents of the full project proposal; (2) Outline of the Logical Framework of the project; (3) Outline of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP); (4) Preparation of an Action Plan; and (5) Establishment of the Project Steering Group. - 6 - Closure of the session
